Beloved Mother And Grandmother
WEST VALLEY CITY Emma Smith Bunch, 92, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2002 at Rocky Mountain Care Center in West Valley City of incident to age.
She was born January 2, 1910 in Kanesville, Utah, the daughter of Joseph J. and Mary Lydia Burrows Harrison.
She married Ariel Davis Smith on October 22, 1934 in the Salt Lake Temple. Ariel passed away on October 27, 1979. She then married Kenneth Erwin Bunch on November 9, 1983 in the Ogden Temple. Kenneth passed away on January 25, 2002.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was active in all of the organizations. She was president of the Aprender Guild-Roy's Civic Club and Captain of the DUP.
She is survived by one son and two daughters; Carol S. (Joseph) Broadbent, Evanston, WY; Steven H. (Kathie) Smith, West Valley City, UT; Mary S. (David) Edwards, Cedar Rapids, IA, stepdaughter, Tamara (Rick) Wilks, Brigham City, UT; stepson, Mike Bunch, Dallas, TX; 22 grandchildren, 26 great-grand-children and five step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both husbands, her parents, a brother and a sister.
When we are young

We remember
Sometimes our young dreams come true.
Oftimes they perish and fade away.
God in his wisdom gave us youth
With its fearlessness and drive
Without it, age would have little to remember!

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 7, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at Myers Mortuary in Roy, 5865 South 1900 West. Family and friends may call on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Roy City Cemetery.
