Wildene M. Howells, age 70, died April 18, 1992 in Provo.
Born August 14, 1921 in Preston, Idaho a daughter of Yeppa and Catherine Daines Lund. Married Benjamin F. Howells, Jr., on April 3, 1959 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. An active member LDS Church, she sang with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir for ten years.Survived by husband, Payson; one son and two daughters, Mrs. lee (Sylvia) Wege, Creswell, Oregon; Christopher and wife Deanna, Sandy; Mrs. Shaine (Cathy) Simpson, Roosevelt; 10 grandchildren; four brothers and two sisters, Kenneth, Howard, Y. Daines, and Robert Lund; Mrs. Henry (June LaPriel) Schumann; Mrs. David (Karren) Stucki.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, 12:00 noon, at Edgehill Chapel, 1750 South 1500 East. Friends may call Tuesday 5-8 p.m., at McDougal Golden Rule Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and Wednesday, at the church, 11-11:40 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.

Wildene Martha Smith was the daughter of William Herbert Smith and Catherine Alvina Daines. There was another daughter, June LaPriel Smith. Both girls were raised in the household of Yeppa and Catherine Lund.
William Herbert Smith was the oldest son of William Robert Smith and Martha Annie Turpin who joined the LDS church and immigrated from England to Preston, Idaho.
