Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Davis Smith, 75, of 5980 S. 2700 W., died Sunday afternoon at the Dee Hospital.
Mrs. Smith was born Oct. 14, 1887, in Franklin, Idaho, a daughter of John P. and Alice Lloyd Davis. She resided in Preston, Idaho, until 1946 and in Ojai, Calif., until 1957 when she came to Roy.
On March 29, 1916, she was married to William Robert Smith in the Logan Temple. He died Jan. 13, 1962.
She was a member of the Roy First Ward Relief Society. While in Preston she had been a Relief Society visiting teacher and in Ojai was a visiting teacher and second counselor in the Relief Society presidency.
Surviving are three sons, Ariel D. Smith, Roy; Hubert D. Smith, Provo; Willis D. Smith, West Los Angeles, Calif., two step-sons, Ed R. Smith, Provo; Joseph T. Smith, Orem; two daughters, Mrs. Venna Mae Schommer, Oxnard, Calif., Mrs. Robert W. (Alice) Miller, LaPuente, Calif., one step-daughter, Mrs. Earl (Lillian) Hagler, Danville, Calif., 23 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Lindquist and Sons Colonial Chapel with Bishop Lewis R. Child of the Roy First Ward officiating. Friends may call at the mortuary Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday prior to services. Interment in Preston Cemetery.
